Their responsibilities include designing, testing, and improving mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders.

This role is hands-on and highly cross-functional – ideal for someone who can take a rough idea, lead it through design and build phases, and ensure it performs at scale. You’ll be working across design, controls, industrial engineering, and operations to bring high-performance equipment online and ramp it successfully.
Job Responsibilities:
- Take equipment from concept to full production readiness (FDR, FAT,
SAT, SOP, Ramp)
- Lead equipment suppliers and/or internal design teams through
development and deployment
- Define station-level requirements: automation level, buffering,
redundancy, etc.
- Develop material flow strategies with industrial engineering and
production teams
- Define utility needs (compressed air, power, process water, etc.)
and layout strategies
- Complete PFMEAs, timing charts, and risk assessments
- Oversee installation and coordinate with facilities and utilities
for startup
- Execute validation plans and develop full documentation
(Manufacturing Instructions, SOPs)
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Chemical, or
Industrial Engineering
- 4+ years in manufacturing engineering with hands-on equipment
development experience
- Multiple successful equipment installations and full-line
implementations
- Experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred; Catia is a plus)
- Strong understanding of tolerance stack-ups, safety PLCs, guarding,
LOTO protocols, etc.
- Proficiency with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff)
- Exposure to MES architecture and database systems (Python/MySQL
experience a plus)
- Comfortable traveling as needed — both domestic and international
