Job Description
We are seeking a talented Solidworks Designer to join our team, responsible for both design and project management. The role involves evaluating incoming projects and deciding whether to outsource to India or manage them in-house with our designers and engineering team. Under the guidance of the Director of Engineering, the position involves the design, development, and analysis of both new and existing products. Responsibilities
Design and develop both new and existing products using Solidworks. Manage projects, including deciding on outsourcing versus in-house management. Establish processes that lead to the successful implementation of systems and procedures. Identify long-range goals and create plans to achieve them. Understand situational needs and establish effective action plans. Evaluate the future implications of current decisions and actions. Communicate effectively with multiple departments and ensure seamless project management. Essential Skills
Mechanical Engineer Design Engineer Solidworks Mechanical Designer Project Management 3 years experience in a Solidworks-based design role 3 years experience working with multiple departments Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or Engineering Hydraulics experience Automotive experience Work Environment
The candidate will communicate with the Project Engineer to determine which projects to manage in-house. The role involves working closely with customers, managing custom designs from start to finish, and involves 50% design and 50% project management. The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
