We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical/ Industrial Engineer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers an opportunity to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or industrial engineering, with hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant, mine, or refinery. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, particularly in the areas of electrical wiring, control wiring, and assembly of electrical components. The candidate should be proficient in SOLIDWORKS modeling, model validation, and detailing drawings. Experience with PLC controls and HAZOP is also required.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and implement manufacturing processes and equipment. Utilize SOLIDWORKS for 3D modeling, model validation, and detailing drawings. Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to improve product reliability and performance. Participate in HAZOP studies and implement safety measures in all processes. Develop and implement maintenance procedures for manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot and repair issues with electrical wiring and control wiring. Program and maintain PLC controls for manufacturing equipment. Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and equipment for cost-effectiveness and reliability. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a manufacturing plant, mine, or refinery. Proficient in SOLIDWORKS Modeling, Model Validation, Detailing Drawings. Hands-on experience with basic electrical wiring/control wiring and basic assembly of electrical components. Experience with PLC controls is required. Experience in conducting and implementing HAZOP studies. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound engineering decisions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical team members. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
