Network Engineer
Full-Time, Tipton, MO
The Network Engineer is an eager and dependable learner who plays a key role in assisting with the maintenance and support of Co-Mo's cutting-edge fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network. This position focuses on hands-on tasks that ensure reliable high-speed internet service for rural communities, providing an excellent opportunity to develop foundational technical skills and gain practical experience in network operations.To Thrive in This Role, You Should Bring:- Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in an Information Technology-related field, OR two to three years of hands-on experience in network administration, operations, or engineering.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of LAN and WAN architecture, including design, implementation, and support.
- Proficiency with IPv4 technologies, associated protocols, and network performance optimization, along with entry-level IPv6 design.
- Experience in network architecture planning, including analysis of existing systems and greenfield deployments.
- Specialized Skills:
- Firewall administration and maintenance expertise.
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Juniper JUNOS and Cisco IOS-based network devices.
- Advanced design and configuration knowledge of unicast IP routing protocols.
- Network Performance & Analysis:
- Comprehensive skills in Layer 2 network design and operations.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Working knowledge of DHCP, DNS, and IPAM systems.
