Job Summary: Our Wireless Connectivity Solutions team is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join us in delivering cutting-edge wireless infrastructure across the country. This mid-level role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco wireless networks, as well as supporting equipment installations in diverse environments nationwide.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with wireless technologies and demonstrate a strong commitment to innovation. In addition to deployment responsibilities, the engineer will actively contribute to research and development initiatives, helping to shape the future of wireless connectivity solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, upgrade, and maintain wireless Cisco networks
Continual Service Improvement - Brainstorm and implement future system improvements
Discover problems and provide solutions to issues that arise. Utilize logic and reasoning when troubleshooting difficult issues. Develop solutions to challenges, as well as manage multiple issues at the same time
Oversee design, implementation and execution of the network security hardware/software maintenance and upgrades. Responsible for infrastructure engineering, maintenance, and support of complex network security systems and tools used to protect and support multiple enterprise networks
Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures
Imagine innovative and effective new solutions and designs
Speak to and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, such as clients, sub-contractors, vendors, management, cybersecurity, and network engineering staff during the development, installation, and maintenance of a system
Create control features to ensure systems effectively meet the company's quality standards
Engage in quality control procedures to ensure that systems are efficient and operational
Understand and appropriately respond to feedback
Communicate with management to keep projects aligned with company goals
Communicate effectively to relay important information, conduct training, and communicate solutions to complex challenges
Maintain and evaluate network systems and communications
Establish network troubleshooting guidelines
Assist with network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies
Assist in the installation and maintenance of network communications
Configure various Cisco network devices and services
Perform other duties within this scope as assigned
Requirements: Minimum 8 years of experience directly with cisco networks and devices , including layer 2 and layer 3 design, or bachelor's degree in IT and 6+ years' experience
Minimum 2 years' experience with Cisco wireless networks, including wireless controllers and APs
Experience and understanding of Firewalls (PCNSE optional)
Experience and understanding of remote management and monitoring capabilities such as Cisco DNA or Solar Winds
CCNA Required
SEC+ Required
CCNP preferred
Up to 25% travel
Active Secret Clearance
