Title: Network Engineer
Job Type: Contract – 3+ Months
Location: Mayfield Heights, OH – Hybrid

Job Summary
Wright Technical Services is proud to represent a highly respected Manufacturing Company for this role. The Network Engineer II is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's enterprise network infrastructure in alignment with security, compliance, and operational excellence standards. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to operate independently while collaborating across teams. The Network Engineer is a key contributor to performance optimization, security enforcement, and continuous compliance with frameworks such as CMMC Level 2 and NIST 800-171.Candidates with experience in manufacturing or highly regulated environments will find this role especially rewarding.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Industry certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, NSE, or equivalent are the preferred qualification for this role, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in the industry, specializing in network engineering or infrastructure-focused IT areas.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade network systems, including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls and remote access.
  • Strong technical knowledge of enterprise networking, including Ethernet, WAN, LAN, VPN, and secure access technologies.
  • Proficiency in managing routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring systems.
  • Solid understanding of network segmentation, access control, and traffic analysis.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Clear, professional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to support secure documentation, audits, and process standardization.um of five (5) years
  • Preferred
    • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, and/or equivalent platforms.
    • Familiarity with enterprise-grade tools for network monitoring, SIEM integration, and configuration management.
    • Exposure to CMMC, NIST, and other compliance frameworks.

  • 10% - Documentation and Knowledge Transfer
