Description Join our dynamic team as a Network Systems Engineer, where you will have the opportunity to design, configure, and maintain cutting-edge network systems that support vital SAP landscapes. We are looking for a highly skilled individual who can ensure optimal network performance and availability for SAP applications while collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to drive business operations, security compliance, and disaster recovery initiatives. Primary Responsibilities : Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure critical to SAP systems.
Monitor network performance, implementing tuning enhancements to elevate SAP application efficiency.
Troubleshoot and rapidly resolve network-related issues impacting SAP applications.
Work closely with SAP Basis Administrators to ensure smooth integration across various platforms.
Manage network access controls, routing, firewall rules, and VLAN configurations tailored for SAP environments.
Ensure adherence to IT security policies while assisting in audit readiness and response efforts.
Document network configurations, topology diagrams, and operational procedures meticulously.
Provide expert network support during SAP system migrations, upgrades, and patch management efforts.
Participate actively in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution alongside cross-functional IT teams.
Basic Qualifications TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience providing comprehensive network engineering support, including planning, designing, and evaluating network components.
Ability to assess network needs and provide actionable specifications for network architecture.
Hands-on experience with the installation, monitoring, modification, testing, and servicing of diverse network equipment.
Strong troubleshooting capabilities to resolve complex network issues efficiently.
Experience managing routing and switching, particularly with protocols like BGP.
Proficient in configuring and managing essential networking hardware, including routers, switches, and access points.
Working knowledge of load balancers and firewall configurations to enhance traffic optimization and security.
Experience utilizing network management tools to support connectivity, security, and performance objectives.
Understanding of network security practices, including threat detection and mitigation strategies.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and clients on project goals and technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications Strong background in network architecture design, with experience developing end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
Experience evaluating and proposing new network technologies to enhance system capabilities.
Proven track record of creating technical solutions that require collaboration and detailed analysis.
Ability to independently manage high-impact projects or processes with minimal supervision.
Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior network personnel.
Broad knowledge across interdisciplinary technical domains beyond core networking.
Involvement in proactive disaster recovery planning and technical audits.
Familiarity with supporting SAP environments from a network perspective.
Experience with routing protocols and advanced load balancing strategies.

Pay Range: Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation.
