Operations Engineer – Google Cloud (GCP) Seeking an experienced Ops Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join a growing, thriving fintech startup in downtown Raleigh, NC! In this role, you will support ongoing system operations within the company’s technical ecosystem, with a focus on GCP and MongoDB, prioritizing uptime, security, scalability, and compliance with a proactive approach. This is a mid-senior level role and has the potential to grow into a lead position down the line if so desired.This is a direct-hire, full time opportunity with benefits. Target salary range is $90,000 - $140,000 depending on experience and credentials. The role is designed to be hybrid; candidates must be local to the Raleigh, NC metro area to come into the downtown Raleigh office occasionally as needed. No visa sponsorship, relocation assistance, or subcontracting / C2C arrangements are available.  Qualifications of the Operations Engineer: 3-7+ years’ professional experience in a similar technical operations role, with experience in cloud operations, networking, storage, and security 2-3+ years’ significant or dedicated experience in Google Cloud (GCP) Experience in Linux / Debian shell scripting Strong experience with MongoDB, with additional working knowledge of cluster databases An understanding of security and compliance from an operations standpoint, such as access management, SOC testing, and penetration testing Experience with SOC2/SOC3, GDPR, and Data Privacy Proactive approach to operations and security Excellent problem solving skills Google Cloud certification(s) highly desired Formal Computer Science training a plus Understanding of the financial securities space an added bonus When looking for a job, have you ever heard the phrase…it is not about what you know, it is who you know?
