Job Summary:
Engineers are accountable for conducting assignments encompassing complete projects or portions of major projects. Responsible for providing Platform Ownership of multiple equipment types, including equipment reliability and also coordinate and plan for day-to-day activities of wage associates.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop proposals for process improvement initiatives.
- Support process improvement projects to enhance cost efficiency and quality.
- Establish machine and process standards to improve equipment efficiency.
- Assist in developing operational control systems for enhanced management.
- Evaluate data using statistical analytical methods.
- Develop and revise production standards and standard work documents.
- Coordinate continuous improvement activities focused on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Lead cross-departmental projects for process improvements, cost reductions, and quality enhancement.
- Manage and execute projects ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and business needs are met.
- Provide project management guidance and structure, preparing reports and presentations.
- Challenge the status quo and develop innovative ideas within processes.
- Provide technical support for production areas, evaluating process deficiencies and equipment failure.
- Review and analyze data, applying statistical methods to determine normal and non-normal results.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and company policies.
- Participate in GMP audits and coordinate communications with stakeholders.
- Comply with safety requirements and promote safe working conditions.
- Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to management.
Qualifications:
Education:
- BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering with experience or equivalent knowledge and skills to perform the position's responsibilities
Experience Skills:
- Strong PC experience preferred.
- Experience with PLC's, vision systems, CIM, robotics and automation preferred.
- Hands on experience with high speed automation assembly equipment.
- Position requires excellent communication skills plus the ability to function in a team-based manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of FDA, BSI, ISO, GMP requirements.
