Job Title:  OT Security Engineer

Location:  Boston, MA (Hybrid – 2 days on-site preferred)

Overture Partners' client has an immediate need for an OT Security Engineer. To secure an interview for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Must Haves:

Experience in OT security within critical infrastructure, such as utilities or industrial settings. Knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, and related OT technologies. Engineering mindset with a focus on systems integration and architecture. Strong initiative and confidence in leading technical decisions. Familiarity with security standards (IEC 62443, NERC CIP) and incident response protocols.

Qualifications:

5+ years in OT or IT security roles with infrastructure focus. Technical depth in architecture, cybersecurity, and networking. Sector experience in utilities or critical infrastructure preferred. Certifications like CISSP are a plus.

What the Client Needs you to Do:

We’re seeking an experienced OT Security Engineer to enhance the cybersecurity posture of a critical infrastructure organization. This role focuses on securing systems like signaling, power, and control technologies that underpin essential operations. You’ll work across both IT and OT environments, playing a key role in asset discovery, system hardening, and developing SOC capabilities tailored to OT needs.

Act as the bridge between OT and IT security, ensuring strong segmentation and communication. Monitor and investigate security anomalies using tools such as XDR and Splunk. Design and implement OT-specific SOC capabilities and security controls. Conduct asset discovery across OT systems to identify and secure critical infrastructure. Collaborate with engineers and operations teams to enforce OT cybersecurity best practices. Support compliance efforts tied to frameworks like IEC 62443 and NERC CIP.
