FocusKPI is  seeking a  PC Test Engineer (Software QA Engineer)  to join one of our clients, a high-tech SaaS company.

The Development QI (DQI) Lab in the client's company acts as the centralized hub for quality solutions at MPS for our client.

Their mission is to provide comprehensive E2E test strategy, coverage, and automation solutions for early Issue Detection with unbiased quality assessment for MPS deliverables.

DQI plays a pivotal role in developing next-gen automation tools and test solutions for products, services, and solutions built on AR/VR headsets, Android, and PC platforms.

The client is looking for a highly capable PC Test Engineer, who will be responsible for performing end-to-end testing of a product or feature, including requirement and design analysis, test case creation & review, manual test execution, and developing automation tests for PC (Windows), focusing on UEFI-based BIOS.

Work Location:

Mountain View, CA Duration:  12-month contract; hybrid role (on-site 4 days a week) Pay Range:   $65/hr to $76/hr Responsibilities:     Perform end-to-end testing of a product or feature, including requirement and design analysis, test case creation & review, manual test execution, and develop automation tests for PC (Windows), focusing on UEFI-based BIOS.

Create Test cases with good coverage and clear and concise writing Understand project/features through limited documentation and be able to ask quality questions to understand the bigger picture and design a test case covering E2E Design, develop, and maintain automation test tools Collaborate with onsite and overseas cross-functional teams during the project life cycle for requirement gathering, design analysis, issue debugging, and fix validation Drive the overall quality of the project, assess, report product quality risks, and ensure quality deliverables Analyze quality metrics, identify areas of improvement, and implement innovative ideas to enhance the product quality Qualifications:

3+ years’ experience in UEFI-based BIOS Validations Education​​​​​:  Master's in Computer Science or Equivalent Experience with debugging tools and techniques – UART, JTAG Debug, and Windbg Basic programming knowledge in Python and writing scripts Good understanding of System Validation / Platform validation on Windows OS Platforms with a focus on UEFI-based BIOS and firmware updates Experience testing Secure boot, anti-roll back/rollback prevention, self-heal, and data secure protection is plus Excellent understanding of QA processes and methodologies Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects /initiatives Customer-centric : Anybody you interact with can be considered a customer Deep-diver : Curious about everything and insists on understanding the big picture Quality advocate : Maintain high standards when it comes to product quality Innovator : Constantly on the lookout for improving what we do Proactive : self-starter with a keen eye for details, with focus on end-user experiences and ability to go above and beyond to ensure a high-quality release in a fast-paced and changing environment **No C2C resumes are considered , and  avoid  Android developers for this role. ** Thank you!
