Our client, a leader in the data management industry, is seeking a Principal Data Engineer - Data Governance/Data Quality to join their team. As a Principal Data Engineer, you will be part of a highly technical and analytical department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Principal Data Engineer - Data Governance/Data Quality

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Range: 160k

What's the Job?

Lead data quality and governance initiatives from inception to implementation. Evaluate and implement data governance tools and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance data quality processes and frameworks. Provide expert guidance on data modeling and architecture. Communicate effectively with senior technology and business partners to align data strategies with business objectives.

What's Needed?

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Data Quality and/or Data Governance roles. Hands-on experience with SQL; Snowflake experience is highly preferred. Proficiency in Data Governance/Data Quality tools such as DQLabs, Alation, or Collibra. Strong knowledge of data governance and quality processes. Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in data initiatives.
