Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of electrical systems for advanced appliances and brewer platforms. This role combines hands-on PCBA development with strategic system-level architecture, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional leadership. Youll work with technologies including MCUs, AC/DC control, connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular), UI (LEDs, OLED, LCD, touch), and sensing solutionsdriving innovation across current and future products. This position has significant impact and leverage on current and future products and will be in an excellent position for visibility and growth within the KDP technology organization.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end ownership of PCBA design, test, and debug for appliances
Architect system-level electrical solutions aligned with product and business goals
Analyze trade-offs between performance, manufacturability, and cost
Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and time/cost budgeting events
Lead DFM, DFT, and DFMEA reviews; general failure analysis; and fault remediation and corrective action plans
Perform detailed technical analysis and work with interdisciplinary teams to bridge the technology gap between theory and implementable hardware
Establish performance metrics and requirements through careful use of theory, models, and experiments across devices, circuits, and human perception
Collaborating with others to facilitate qualification testing to ensure compliance with electrical, regulatory (EMI, UL, FCC, CSA, etc.), thermal, mechanical, and environmental requirements
Meeting project schedules, deadlines, and budgets

Requirements:
BE in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant industry experience OR
MS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant industry experience
Sound knowledge of designing for reliability and manufacturing
Experience with simulating circuits & building prototypes to validate design
Familiarity with UL & FCC regulatory requirements
Previous experience with MCU-based PCBA design, utilizing connectivity devices (Wi-Fi, Cellular, Bluetooth), UI devices (OLED, LED, LCD), and general sensing circuits
Some embedded programming is desirable
Creative and self-driven with very strong analytical skills and the ability to learn new things
Strong communication with senior stakeholders and external partners

Holds US patents in consumer electronics
