WHY CONTENT SAFETY?
Safety and Civility is Roblox's #1 priority and our mission is to protect our community. As a Principal Software Engineer on Content Safety, you'll build systems to ensure that millions of daily user-generated visual content across Roblox is safe and civil. You'll work on some of the most challenging problems we face, from moderating 3D content at scale, to using LMMs at the cutting edge of content moderation.
You Will:
Build end-to-end ML systems to detect and address problematic visual content on Roblox, such as 3D content, images, avatars, and more
Drive the evolution of our visual moderation into a scalable, adaptable system that supports dozens of customer teams with unique needs
Develop innovative detection approaches in a rapidly evolving landscape. Use a data-driven lens to think creatively, strategically, and adversarially to identify opportunities.
Shape the team's roadmap and technical direction. Drive execution, establish strong technical foundations, and mentor junior engineers.
Partner with Moderation Operations, PM, Data, and stakeholders across Roblox.
You Have: 7+ year experience in designing and building deep learning solutions to solve computer vision problems. Capable of breaking down product requirements into iterative deliverable stages. Experience in launching computer vision models into production.
MS or PhD degree in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or a related field. You have solid fundamentals in Computer Vision and Deep Learning.
