Principal Software Engineer - San Jose, CA Job Duties: Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions for assigned projects by identifying, resolving, and mitigating risk and communicating to others. Provide technical solutions to detail certain aspects of product design and ensure that the resulting design specification fits into the technical architectural framework. Perform analysis to define design requirements for modifications to existing tools, utilities, system structures, environments, and provide technical input into project scope and estimating activities. Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, processes, and standards. Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers. Assist Principal Engineers and Management with project scope. Assist with and drive customer solutions. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related field. Special Skill Requirements: (1) C (two years), (2) C++ (two years), (3) GoLang (two years), (4) Python, (5) JSON, (6) SQL, (7) XML, (8) C library, (9) TCP/IP, (10) SDN.
