TS/SCI without Polygraph We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer - Systems Architect to join our team on the Aurora Campus supporting a classified Program. In this role as the Systems Architect & Design (SA&D) Engineer, you will be supporting a team of systems engineers in accomplishment of requirements traceability, capability definition, and system architecture modeling in an iterative development environment.
The SA&D Engineer will apply scientific and mathematical knowledge when performing engineering tasks. The candidate will assist in tracing system and product level requirements for analysis and verification as well as provide interpretation and analysis of the requirements for capability definition, implementation, and verification. The candidate will use systems thinking to contribute to modeling and analysis, with guidance as well as work independently to create system architecture model products.
The SA&D Engineer will attend technical inspection reviews and technical interchanges with team members and other program personnel in matters pertaining to the development of assigned products. Must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines. The work is onsite in Aurora, CO.
What You Will Do
Support a team of systems engineers in accomplishment of requirements traceability, capability definition, and system architecture modeling in an iterative development environment
Apply scientific and mathematical knowledge when performing engineering tasks
Use systems thinking to contribute to modeling and analysis and work independently to create system architecture model products
Review the outputs of systems modeling and analysis, ensuring the results can be used for the intended purpose
Support and attend technical inspection reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program as the systems architect
Active and transferrable TS/SCI U.S. government issued clearance is required prior to start date
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Domain and Ground Systems development experience
Experience conducting system architecture interacting with external entities
Experience decomposing and communicating system architecture artifacts
Experience working projects, and/or programs consisting of Ground-related SE, SW development, and IV&V functions
Experience with Agile principles, to include Agile systems engineering practices and understanding of Agile roles
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with architecture governance and design principles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders including Raytheon senior stakeholders, customers, and major subcontractors
Experience with different Architecture Frameworks
Experience with modeling resources and methodologies (Cameo)
Experience in an Agile development environment
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
