Position Overview:
KODA Technologies is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Medium Range Targets program office. Your work will cover multiple programs developing the next generation of reentry vehicles, rocket motors, and counter measures in support of creating realistic test environments for the nation's missile defense systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate Medium Range Targets Program Office Systems Engineer activities with other MDA Systems Engineering teams and/or Product Offices, Prime Contractor, and Other Government Agencies (OGAs) as required
Obtain & review information from the prime contractor as requested by the Government customer
Taking ownership of the technical milestone review process and ensuring all entrance and exit criteria are addressed
Facilitate Government IPTs and functional areas (systems engineering, quality, safety, logistics, etc.) as requested
Technical baseline management of system designs
Ensure levied requirements flow down, and verify compliance
Interpreting flight test requirements and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure common understanding
Qualifications:
Master's degree and 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program or a Bachelor's degree and 20+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program
Ability to work independently and/or lead teams to analyze and resolve problems
Working knowledge of Range Safety Requirements
Familiarity with flight safety analysis and analysis products
Proficiency in Range Tracking Systems (inertial measurement, GPS, C-band tracking)
Proficiency with RCC-319 Flight Termination Commonality Standard and RCC-324 Global Positioning and Inertial Measurements Range Safety Tracking Systems Commonality Standard
Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and have the individual flexibility to work multiple actions simultaneously and resolve time-sensitive issues
Strong oral, written, and briefing communication skills
Experience working in a configuration-controlled environment and ensuring proper levels of handling are applied to items
Desired Skills:
STEM Degree
Familiarity with MDA and system engineering processes
Familiarity with technical proposal development and evaluation Model Based Systems Engineering
Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and hold an Active DoD Secret clearance
