Lead and participate in process flow studies across all production systems. Plan, design, coordinate, and schedule process improvement projects, while supporting and training plant personnel.
Collaborate with Night Plant Supervisors, Maintenance Planner, and Automation Engineer to address and resolve process flow concerns. Implement system flow analysis programs and manage related materials and service contracts.
Analyze equipment shutdowns to recommend operational or control improvements. Ensure timely implementation of approved changes.
Promote and enforce adherence to plant safety, health, and environmental policies. Address policy violations with appropriate disciplinary action.
Provide on-call support for both routine and emergency plant needs; serve as backup for the Production Manager when necessary.
Lead or participate in weekly safety meetings. Conduct daily safety inspections to identify and address unsafe conditions, reducing workplace injuries and minimizing lost-time incidents.
Supervise contractors involved in production-related projects and maintain accurate cost records for all process control work.
Ensure necessary work orders, especially those stemming from safety inspections or operational needs, are communicated to the Maintenance Planner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering preferred.
2–4 years of experience in plant operations or a similar industrial environment.
Cement industry experience is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with production processes and operational systems.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and consensus across teams.
Self-motivated and solution-oriented with a proactive mindset.
Capable of developing long-term strategies for maintenance and operational improvement.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
Knowledge of safety, environmental, and company operational policies and procedures.
Must be physically capable of navigating plant conditions (dusty, noisy, potentially hazardous) and lifting or moving heavy objects as needed.
