JOB TITLE: Process Engineer IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Plant Manager EMPLOYEE STATUS: Salaried, Exempt PURPOSE: Responsible for monitoring and modifying production processes to improve productivity and reduce waste. Designs systems and processes that integrate resources to support current and new business opportunities. Evaluates job costs studies to ensure resources are utilized efficiently. Monitors validated processes, analyzes data, and completes validations when required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Monitors productivity, job, and waste reports and is empowered to act on analysis Supports continuous improvement activities at a value stream level within all manufacturing areas and support functions. Implement LSS processes and ensures that teams are properly trained to lead smaller continuous improvement projects Establish and revise production standards for accurate manufacturing costs. Identifies team members that can develop higher level continuous improvement skills and provides development plans Leads equipment validations and qualifications in accordance with HVO processes Facilitates root cause and improvement investigations Maintains plant layout to reflect current location of equipment Monitors workflow and production methods utilizing ergonomic principles. Investigate and recommend alternative approaches for manufacturing methods. Actively participate in new contract or product development as related to labor. Maintains work instructions as they relate to specified process Provides support for training processes
CORE COMPETENCIES: Demonstrates knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485 standards relevant to HVO's quality system Demonstrates leadership skills Is an effective communicator Demonstrates computer skills with an ability to effectively use MS Office Suite and applications tools utilized by HVO Understands relevant HVO policies, procedures, and work instructions Demonstrates expectations of our leaders Demonstrates accountability to the success of the area of responsibility Demonstrates knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and is accountable to change management to constantly monitor area performance
MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS/PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
3-5 years of experience in continuous improvement projects 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing experience is preferred LSS Green Belt or higher certification is preferred Ability to work and relate with disabled adults. Ability and aptitude to effectively manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: AAS in engineering discipline is preferred. Equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered.
