My client is a leading UK food company with over 1, employees and with various locations. They produce a range of branded and own label products.

They are currently looking for an experienced Procurement Manager / Buying Manager to support the business on a twelve-week fixed term contract to start ASAP.

This role is paying £65-75k dependant on experience.

Reporting to the Procurement Director, you will be managing the following categories: Dairy

Vegetables

Fats and Oils

Meat

Bakery/Pulses Your priority will be to establish an accurate picture of contract cover levels, risks, and opportunities across these categories.

You will also be responsible for ensuring supplier management effectiveness; including a reliable and timely supply of quality goods whilst reducing total cost.

You will continuously drive to improve supplier value through the development and effective execution of sourcing strategies and plans. As well as providing competitive advantage to the business through collaboration with the wider business and peers.

In this procurement role you will ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices, and adhere to applicable regulations.

To apply you must be an experienced Procurement Manager, Buying Manager, or Sourcing Manager within the food industry.
