Position : Product Design Engineer

Location: La Porte, TX - onsite 5x a week

Pay: $130,000 - $160,000 / Annual base pay

Full-time / Direct Hire We are seeking a Product Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience in centrifugal compressors or gas/steam turbines. The ideal candidate will play a key role in engineering calculations, reviewing and approving technical drawings, and ensuring all components are correctly assembled for complex rotating equipment solutions. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, supporting internal manufacturing, leading design reviews, and creating detailed documentation for engineered products. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field 5+ years of hands-on experience with compressors or gas/steam turbines Proficiency in mechanical calculations and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (milling, turning, welding) Working knowledge of API 687 and at least one of the following standards: API 617, 611, or 612 Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills Willingness to travel up to 10% and occasionally work flexible hours to support global teams This is a full-time position with a growing engineering organization offering international exposure, a collaborative team environment.
