With deep knowledge of customer needs and industry standards, you’ll manage product risk, champion robust design practices, and flex between engineering execution and project leadership to bring world-class products to market.Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.What you’ll get:Competitive salaryHealth, Dental, and Vision insurancePrescription Plan401(k) with company matchTuition ReimbursementDisability PlanPaid Vacation and 10 HolidaysHealth Club ReimbursementBonus programWellness programWhat you'll do:Lead complex product development.Manage project timeline for on-time implementation.Collaborate with cross-functional team to establish business case inputs and meet key metrics.Translate customer and market needs into robust engineering requirements.Support Sales/Marketing team with understanding of industry code requirements.Use of tools like DFMEA, DVP&R, DFX, CAE, DOE, etc., to reduce risk and drive solutions.Establish and manage EBOMs and coordinate cross-functional impact across ERP and design systems.Track industry and technology trends to introduce best practices.Represent ODL at industry conferences, consortiums, and external forums.What you'll need:Experience with Building Industry Certifications is required: IBC, FBC, NAMI, IGCC, IGMAC.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity.Working understanding of project budgeting and product costing to support business case development.Effective communication and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks proficiently.Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.Exposure to FGIA, WDMA or related construction industry committees is a plus.Familiarity with manufacturing processes that support glass or building materials a plus.Oracle or ERP system experience a plus.MBA or related business degree is a plus.What we do:Driven by continual innovation and trusted customer partnerships, ODL is a visionary building products leader delivering a full breadth of high-quality door and insulated glass offerings.
