Product Supplier Quality Engineer

We have a great opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that products received from suppliers meet Polaris standards and manufacturing specifications as defined. You will proactively review supplier non-conformances and establish appropriate corrective actions. This role ensures 100% ongoing qualification compliance of purchased components throughout the product life cycle. Key Responsibilities: Utilize quality engineering principles to assure the quality of supplied components.
Develop strategies and tools for the supplier quality system and drive continuous improvement.
Lead cross-functional teams to execute root cause problem solving of quality events and implement corrective/preventative actions.
Collaborate with Suppliers, Sourcing, Engineering, and Plant Quality to reduce supplier non-conformances and overall DPM (Defects Per Million).
Identify high-risk suppliers and drive the execution of quality performance improvement plans.
Promote the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and continuous improvement techniques to reduce variability and monitor process controls.
Review supplier process change requests (PCR) and determine validation requirements with cross-functional teams.
Skills and Qualifications needed to be successful in the role: BS Degree in Engineering or a related Technical field
Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing engineering with preferred knowledge of plastics, casting and machining or harnesses
Strong technical problem-solving skills, including the ability to write technical reports
Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical reports and present cross-functionally within and outside Polaris at all levels
Advanced knowledge of quality-related tools, including, but not limited to, SPC, APQP, 8D, PPAP, DOE, CAPA, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans and Quality Systems
Ability to establish collaborative working relationships cross-functionally as well as with a diverse/global supply base.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Working Conditions: Fast-paced office/plant environment

#LI-RAO The starting pay range for Minnesota is $85,000 to $112,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
