As a Professional Engineer specializing in Telecommunications, you will support various telecom engineering projects throughout the country and work on challenging projects to develop and expand your telecom understanding.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
Design and draft Engineering projects in fiber optics and Wireless telecommunications
Review and stamp Telecommunications drawings and designs for accuracy as needed for various municipalities
Must be willing and able to obtain Professional Engineer Stamp in various markets as needed to satisfy client needs and demands
Design Fiber Optic running lines and splice details
Design new Wireless communications towers, Equipment Shelters, Antenna layout (including height and Azimuths), And Fiber optic cable running routes and lengths
Modify existing Wireless communications drawings for new layouts and technologies
Plan set development which includes details, site plans, drainage, grading, and electrical drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Work with Manager to Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines
Manage project data files from various sources
Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely
Flexibility to learn and understand new design techniques as well as rely on subject matter specialists around you
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
3-6 Years of experience
Professional Engineering (PE) licensure
A self-directed practitioner with strong project management and project delivery skills
Ability to develop project execution plans and technical deliverables
Outstanding client and personnel skills and the ability to persuasively communicate at all levels
Technical expert with outstanding team building, writing, proposal development, and program execution skills
Must be able to work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
Organized and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D
Experience working with both private and municipal clients
Strong industry relationships and an understanding of municipal, state, and federal criteria
Significant experience and understanding of local, regional, state, and federal policies, programs, and procedures
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally
Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environment
