Palm Beach County is seeking a Professional Engineer to develop and implement traffic signal and system timing plans. Responds to requests from citizens and public officials. QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida OR a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Traffic/Transportation Engineering, or closely related field; minimum of four (4) years of experience in professional traffic engineering. Equivalency: Related Master's Degree and three (3) years of related experience. Necessary Special Requirement: Licensed as a P.E. in the State of FL OR ability to obtain State of FL P.E. licensure within 11 months of hire. PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH : Traffic signal timing development and implementation or traffic signal analysis packages (e.g., Synchro); traffic signal systems, NEMA traffic signal controllers, Signal Priority or Adaptive Traffic Control Systems; ITS control center operations (must specify on application) .
