Must-Have Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
8+ years of experience in engineering—preferably with land development design projects
Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ , or the ability to obtain it within 6 months
Strong command of site layout, grading, utilities, stormwater, erosion control , and regulatory approvals
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and lead project teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
What You’ll Do :
Lead multiple land development projects from concept to construction
Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
Coordinate project permits with regulatory agencies for large-scale and complex projects
Manage schedules, budgets, and client communication
Mentor junior engineers and drafters in SWM design, utility coordination, and E&SC planning
Oversee quality control and technical execution of multi-discipline projects
Support proposal development and fee estimation for new and existing clients
Collaborate with clients, municipalities, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery
Preferred Qualifications :
Certifications like CME, CFM, or PP
Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D , Bluebeam Revu , and H&H modeling tools
Prior work on municipal and private site development projects
Familiarity with local land-use approvals and permitting processes
Ability to balance technical detail with big-picture project goals
