An active U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance is a requirement for this position. American International Contractors (Special Projects), Inc. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Project Controls Engineer (PCE) is responsible for scheduling and cost control of the project. The PCE shall be assigned to the project from LNTP-Design to Final Acceptance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for maintaining the required schedules and related documents in compliance with client provisions or as requested by the Project Director/COR, including maintaining the original cost-loaded baseline for the project duration. Considered part of the Contractor’s key management personnel. Final approval of the Scheduler/PCE, based on curriculum vitae, is required by the USG. Work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, Designer, subcontractors, suppliers, and OBO’s management scheduling support staff to develop and implement the PES. Meet with the OBO PCE scheduler at the project site after schedule development to refine and finalize the BPES for presentation to the OBO and contractor management teams. Coordinate with procurement to ensure material procurement aligns with the schedule. Oversee overall cost control tracking of the project (time, labor, material, equipment, etc.). Work with third-party TIA/Controls experts for support on REAs and claims as necessary. Perform other duties as directed by the Project Engineer, Project Manager, or Operations Manager. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Experience as a construction project scheduler using Primavera on at least two previous projects of comparable scope and value (e.g., $110 million). Proficient in Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Prolog Manager. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field from an accredited institution. Minimum 5-7 years of related experience. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications. Proven problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Excellent planning, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and self-motivated with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Courtous, professional, diplomatic, and maintains a high level of confidentiality. Leadership abilities. EXPERIENCE: International construction industry experience with diverse cultures. Previous U.S. Government construction project experience. Overseas Building Operations (OBO) experience. Experience with design/build projects is preferable.
