The Project Engineer Position

The Project Engineer supports the successful execution of construction projects by managing technical operations, coordinating documentation, and assisting with scheduling, procurement, and safety efforts. The Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to keep projects on track from preconstruction though closeout.

Key responsibilities include processing submittals and RFIs, maintaining accurate project records, supporting schedule development, tracking material deliveries, assisting in cost control and change management, and reinforcing jobsite safety protocols. The Project Engineer participates in coordination of meetings, mentors interns, and ensures only approved material are installed.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities of the Project Engineer

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of construction industry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, P6, and Timberline/Sage
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • OSHA 30 certification and competent person training preferred or in progress
