A growing general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support field and office operations across multiple affordable housing and commercial developments in the Boise metro area. This role offers hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle and is a strong fit for early-career professionals seeking long-term growth in construction management.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with subcontractor solicitation and bid package coordination Support RFI and submittal workflows; ensure timely reviews and responses Develop and maintain site logistics plans and construction methods Manage redlines and digital drawing updates Assist with tracking budgets, schedules, and construction deliverables Coordinate with owners, consultants, architects, and regulatory agencies Help prepare scopes of work, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements Review shop drawings and submittals for general conformance Monitor and support change order process and cost/schedule impacts Attend job walks and coordination meetings to support project teams Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field 1-3+ years of experience in a construction or field engineering role Familiarity with construction scheduling, bidding, and document control Proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to Procore or similar PM tools preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate cross-functionally Experience in multifamily or commercial construction is a plus
