Project Engineer

Company is seeking a project engineer with 1-5 years of experience in heavy highway construction. The ideal candidate will contribute to a variety of projects including but not limited to site development, military, and DOT(Caltrans). We work on a variety of grading and asphalt paving projects and seek a motivated individual to assist our superintendents in the successful execution of these projects. Responsibilities: · Assist superintendents in progress billing, track submittals, RFIs, and contract change orders. · Job cost tracking/updates. · Develop/maintain CPM schedules. · Coordinate with subcontractors on a variety of projects. · Track quantities. · Traffic control plans. · Earthwork Take-offs. · Understand contract documents (plans, specifications, contracts, etc.) · Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction. Requirements: · Hard-working individual who has demonstrated leadership skills and who thrives in a teamwork environment. · The individual must be highly organized and able to communicate well with others. · Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. · Excellent writing, presentation and computer skills. · Willingness to be flexible and occasionally work long hours. Company Construction positions require satisfactory completion of a physical ability test and clean drug and alcohol screening.
