Gas South is looking to hire an experienced individual who would like to be a key member of the development team. The Quality Assurance Engineer II is expected to design and implement test cases, plans and scripts that result in high quality, fully functional, well documented products.

You have strong verbal and written communication skills with the aptitude for communicating various B2B end users and consumer segmentations. You are detailed oriented and have the ability to work cross-functionally. You provide accurate scoring and/or work effort estimations, risk assessments and participate in scheduled development.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop, update and maintain test plans, cases, scripts, and automation (where applicable) for all layers of application testing.
  • Execute various levels and types of testing such as smoke, functional, compatibility, integration, performance, and regression tests (manual and automated).
  • Contribute to process improvements efforts related to all aspects of Software Quality Assurance in an effort to reduce defects and quality issues.
  • Install and control various test configurations and environments (physical and virtual).
  • Identify research and document bugs; suggesting possible resolutions and root causes.
  • Create accurate, thorough and comprehensive defect reports.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position's function

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field.
  • 3+ Years of QA Analyst experience, preferably on Web Applications.
  • Experienced with one or more front end testing tools such as JMeter, Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Katalon Studio.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with working in Agile / Fast Paced Development Environment is a huge plus.
  • Possesses a track record of excellent performance, proactivity and exceptional work practices.
  • Experienced with Microsoft VSTS / other Agile Development Tools is a big plus.

Physical Requirements

Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk or workstation while performing computer-based tasks, conducting meetings, and collaborating with colleagues.

Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk within the office environment, such as when attending meetings, interacting with colleagues or external stakeholders, or visiting different departments.

Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry material, files, or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds, such as when organizing documents or setting up for meetings.

Pay range is commensurate with education, experience, specialized skills or certifications, etc.

Gas South Pay Range
$67,655—$75,614 USD
