We're Hiring: Quality Assurance Engineers (Mid-Level - 3+ Years)

SteerBridge Strategies, a Veteran-led small business, is seeking Quality Assurance Engineers to join our growing team based at our headquarters in Tysons Corner (Vienna, VA). This role offers the chance to support a major federal transformation effort by testing and validating complex systems that serve Veterans and federal stakeholders.

What You'll Do: As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll work alongside developers, analysts, and stakeholders to design and execute rigorous test plans that ensure the functionality, security, and accessibility of software systems. You will: Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases for UI, API, performance, and security layers Use tools like Selenium, JMeter, TestRail, and Postman to ensure end-to-end software quality Conduct Section 508 accessibility testing to meet federal compliance standards Identify and log defects using tools like Jira and collaborate with developers for resolution Work closely with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and deliver robust solutions Support CI/CD pipelines and testing automation in agile development environments Maintain technical documentation for test plans, test cases, and defect tracking Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship and the ability to work in the United States Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 3+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance or software testing Hands-on experience with Selenium, JMeter, TestRail, and Postman (or similar tools) Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility compliance Understanding of QA best practices in agile/scrum environments Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CI/CD testing automation and pipeline integration Strong documentation, analysis, and bug tracking skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Location:
Must be local to the Washington, D.C. area and able to work on-site at our Vienna, VA office (5 days/week). Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates.
