JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Quality Engineer 1 will be responsible for carry-on baggage screening equipment. This position will run factory acceptance testing, audit the product quality, track and manage system level non-conformances, interact with other departments to apply corrective and preventative actions and drive improvements to enhance the quality of our products and the conformance of processes to our procedures and quality system. This position will use statistics, quality process and data tools to track and analyze quality performance and will summarize and report on field return MTBF levels. To work closely with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and other quality personnel. To excel in this key role, you must be able communicate clearly.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Servers (including blades, rack servers, multi-node servers, GPU servers) Run and perform Factory Acceptance Testing. Determine Preparedness for FAT Testing. Document test results, analyze data and prepare Factory Acceptance Test reports. Create inspection and test procedures. Communicate effectively within functional groups. Train inspectors. Identify critical to quality items and establish inspection requirements. Develop technology tools. Develop SPC charts. Track in process defects. Prepare corrective and preventative action reports. Perform line and process audits. May include other duties as assigned and/or special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Quality, Statistics or a related Engineering or Science field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A desire to apply technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality system. An ability to quickly learn new technology and equipment. Experience with statistics packages helpful. Experience with R helpful. Experience with Matlab or Octave helpful. Experience with PowerBI and databases helpful. Familiarity with drawings. Familiarity with GDT and other drawing related nomenclature and symbology. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work in a team environment. WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE: No special clearances required.
