Job Description
This role involves being a customer-facing Quality Engineer primarily supporting our clients in the automotive sector. Responsibilities include daily checks of customer complaints, issuing quality alerts, and initiating containment and sorting actions. The role also involves conducting Gemba walks for root cause analysis and providing comprehensive reports and presentations to customers. Responsibilities
Perform daily checks on customer complaints and respond with appropriate actions. Issue quality alerts and initiate containment and sorting processes. Conduct Gemba walks to analyze potential quality issues. Provide detailed reports and presentations to customers. Essential Skills
3+ years experience in an automotive Quality Engineer role. Proficiency in quality engineering processes such as APQP and PPAP. Strong skills in root cause analysis techniques, including 8D and 5 Why. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including creating PowerPoint presentations and utilizing Excel pivot tables. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience with PFMEA, with an understanding of its operation and potential modifications. Knowledge of failure mode and risk analysis. Experience with rubber materials. Work Environment
The facility is clean, well-lit, and well-maintained. This position is balanced between floor work and desk duties, with an expectation of 50% time spent on each. Quality Engineers are eligible for up to a $500 monthly bonus. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr. Offers full benefits including health, dental, vision and 401k as well as paid holidays and PTO. Workplace Type
