Summary:
Plans & directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products. Develops, initiates standards & methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following: Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including supplier quality and company quality records.
Reviews all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.ef"H
Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards. Plays active role on quality management teams within organization.
Designs and implements quality training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
QMS knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D
Working knowledge of PPAP Submission, FAI (First Article Inspection) AS9102B, Control Plans and PFMEA.
Experience with Fusion Welding Standards, AWS D1.1, AWS D17.1 and EN 15085-2, EN ISO 14731, CWI (Certified Weld Inspector) a plus.
ISO 9001:2015 transition to AS9100D HMH HS Hutchinson Manufacturing. Specific Quality Engineering focus will need to be implemented to provide the present and proactive focus on Aerospace and Department of Defense Quality focus on Customer Specific Requirements and QMS Specific Requirements in support of this business. This Quality Engineering role will be a cross functional role across HMH businesses.
Assist with Human Factors CAPA / 5 Why institutionally across HMH businesses based on Perato Analysis.
Perform other duties, as assigned by VP of Quality
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year accredited college or university one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 - 10 years Quality Engineering experience in Aerospace / Department of Defense Manufacturing environment.
Customer Service - Manages difficult customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings.

Experience with word suite such as excel, word, power point, etc.
Epicor ERP software experience is a plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
