APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Port Huron, MI looking to add a Quality Engineer to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to support and improve manufacturing quality and ensure compliance with quality standards and processes. Keep reading for more details! What’s in it for you:

What your day will look like:
Monitor and analyze real-time production data to identify process improvements and reduce downtime.
Apply ANSI sampling standards, AQL criteria, and problem-solving tools to assess product conformity, evaluate process capability (CPK), and develop continuous improvement plans.
Create and maintain quality documentation such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions. Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and other documentation for customer approvals.
Evaluate and disposition nonconforming materials; lead or participate in quality review meetings.
Conduct dimensional inspections using metrology tools including calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, and Keyence systems to verify product specifications.
Collaborate with Engineering to develop measurement strategies and fixturing plans for new product introductions.
Actively support root cause investigations and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
Review process control data and performance reports; investigate variables impacting product quality.
Perform Gage R&R and measurement system analysis to ensure reliable inspection methods.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
3+ years of relevant quality assurance experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products experience with IQMS or similar ERP systems .
Familiarity with ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 standards; active participation in audits and CAPA processes.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies, including Six Sigma, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).
