What You'll Do:
Traeger is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Manufacturing team in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Quality Engineer, you will ensure Traeger products consistently meet-and surpass-customer and market expectations. The ideal candidate for this role is driven, detail-oriented, and eager to dive deep into quality assurance processes. They will proactively identify potential risks, work independently and collaboratively, and contribute to resolving quality challenges. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to analyze and improve product quality at every stage-from initial design through to commercialization. How You'll Help Us Win: New Product Development Support APQP activities including risk assessments, FMEAs, Control Plans, and reliability testing (IQC/ORT). Define CTC/CTQ characteristics, establish measurement tools, and ensure process capability. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues through CA/PA before mass production.
Sustaining Manufacturing Analyze and report quality data from field and OEM sites to identify defect trends. Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement data-driven corrective actions. Enhance quality process controls and maintain up-to-date documentation.
What You'll Need to Succeed: BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred 2-5 years in Quality Engineering, product development, and manufacturing (sheet metal, plastics, coatings, assembly) Experience with consumer goods and third-party manufacturing in Asia Proficient in quality standards: 8D, APQP, DFSS, ISO 9001:2015 Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills Skilled in technical writing, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making Advanced data analytics skills; experience with DOMO or similar tools Why You Will Love To Work Here: Be part of the most disruptive force in outdoor cooking Join a true team working towards a common goal Culture of risk-taking, innovation & quality So.Much.Food.
