Position Overview

The Quality Control Engineer serves as a key quality partner to the manufacturing engineering team. This role focuses on incoming materials inspection, root cause analysis of production issues, and documentation improvements to drive yield and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform inspections of purchased parts and subassemblies using standard tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, thread gages).

Document inspection and testing results accurately.

Maintain controlled document files and test records.

Assist in developing and updating inspection templates and tools.

Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate issues and recommend solutions.

Lead process improvement initiatives using SPC metrics and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

Education: BS in Engineering or Physical Sciences preferred (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Science, etc.)

Experience: Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing and Quality Control

Technical Skills:

Quality control and assurance

Root cause analysis

Use of inspection equipment (calipers, gages, micrometers)

Electronics manufacturing

Quality management systems (QMS)

Software Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Knowledge:

MIL-Specs and MIL-STDs

Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methods

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
