POSITION SUMMARY If you would like to be apart of large, complex construction projects, partnering with others and are passionate about safety, Southland has an opportunity for you as a Project engineer. In this role, you will work on exciting, multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects as you develop your skills in estimating, financials, and project engineering within the design-build construction process. As a Project Engineer you will be working on a project site. We currently have projects in Chandler, Goodyear, and the Northern Phoenix Valley. What you’ll do: Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management.

Manages change orders. Ensure they are completed accurately and tracked as required.

Procures equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.

Stays current on emerging trends.

Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed. What you’ll need to be successful: Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience

Entry level position

Basic ERP skills to include inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports

Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing drawings

Basic verbal and written communications skills
