Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $85580 - $113,451.8. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Value Stream Engineering? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our reliability function. As a Reliability Engineer, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.
The Reliability Engineer performs a variety of tasks, functions equipment reconditioning, predictive maintenance and asset management. Related tasks and functions include providing technical expertise to support equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving, managing reliability improvement programs/projects and asset risk assessment. Major equipment repairs, equipment rebuilds and refurbishments, control upgrades and other major equipment modifications and improvements are coordinated as a result of these evaluations.
This work requires effective interactions with Maintenance, Facilities, Process Engineering, Project leaders and leadership from other areas of the company. Activities also require an understanding of the use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS-Oracle eAM) and related asset data analysis.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and implement data collection for reliability from various production machines including PLC controlled process and CNC controlled machine tools.
Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve asset reliability and maintainability.
Perform asset risk assessments, life cycle evaluations and develop reliability improvement and cost savings proposals.
Utilize available Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) data related to inventory management, asset management, work order histories and project coordination to define reliability gaps and achieve improvement targets.
Provide troubleshooting and technical problem-solving support for maintenance technicians and project leaders.
Plan and coordinate multiple reliability improvement projects concurrently to meet budgets and project timetable.
What you'll Need To Succeed:
Job Requirements (To select this job at a minimum you must have the following): Bachelor's Degree in engineering or strong/in-depth tenure working within an industrial facility as a Reliability Engineer (Advanced Degree and/or Reliability certification a plus.
4-5 years of experience working on reliability improvement projects and implementing predictive maintenance and life-cycle extension programs.
Reliable project planning, coordination and leadership skills, experience completing reliability improvement projects.
Ability to accurately interpret documentation, equipment assembly drawings, PLC ladder logic and mechanical or electrical schematics for various production equipment/systems.
Knowledge in CMMS practices, objectives, terminology and metrics with experience in driving improvement in utilizing developed metric dashboards, technical problem solving and available equipment reliability data.
Possess strong technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience in applying skills in a formal team environment.
Understand and use good judgement when applying all OSHA Regulations and S&C safety practices and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Computer proficiency (MS Office Suite, CMMS, PLC, CAD software, etc)
Major Physical Demands: Standing: Occasionally remaining in an upright position for 75% of the time working on equipment.
Walking: Frequently walking throughout the facility
Carrying: Occasional carrying of light objects
Pushing: Infrequent pushing of objects
Observation/Eyesight: Frequently required to observe details at close range including depth perception, peripheral vision and the ability to differentiate between colors
