Requirements Management Engineer

We are seeking a DOORS Analyst to join our team and play a key role in supporting the effective management and analysis of requirements within the CGN Narrowband Satellite Communications Program.
Responsibilities
- Act as an apprentice to the DOORS Manager, ensuring succession planning and redundancy for program-specific scripts, reports, traces, and documentation.
- Maintain and update a DOORS database containing 115 nested folders, 177 modules, and ~100,000 objects, including baseline verification data and approximately 50,000 requirements.
- Support the maintenance of ~10,000 lines of DXL scripts, enabling integration of baseline satellite and ground manufacturer data.
- Develop, maintain, and update custom reports (e.g., hierarchical scripts) and tools to link by REQID.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are accurately captured, traced, and managed throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the long-term success and stability of the program by maintaining critical documentation and processes.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, math or the sciences.
- Proficiency in using the DoD DOORS application for requirements management and analysis.
- Experience with DXL scripting and database management.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze and maintain complex data structures effectively.
- Prior experience in satellite communications or aerospace programs preferred.
- Knowledge of hierarchical scripts and advanced reporting techniques in DOORS preferred.
- Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000/year depending on experience and qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
