STE 122 Austin TX 78738 Telecommuting allowed for this position anywhere in the U.S. QUALIFICATIONS: A Masters Degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity; License/Certification: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) required; Any experience converting generic client expectations into technical requirements; Any experience reviewing and revising associate contributions; Any experience synthesizing findings for clients based on multiple associate contributions; Any experience with client expectations for professional engineering services, managing expectations, and providing deliverables and work product based on those expectations; Any experience conducting investigations for client needs and concerns; Any experience in and intricate knowledge of Penetration Testing: Exploiting vulnerabilities in web applications, android based systems, software, binaries and other IT systems; Any experience and excellent Knowledge in Reverse Engineering: binaries compiled in different languages such as C, C++, Golang, Java, etc. Reverse engineering functionalities of programs and web applications. Reverse engineering and extracting code from firmware; Any experience in and knowledge of Forensic Analysis and Code Review: Static analysis of code base for security issues. Forensic analysis of system images, core dumps, etc. to extract important and critical information; Excellent Technical Writing, Analysis Skills: Writing technical reports and analysis about technical topics, e.g., exploit explanations, cybersecurity concepts, security news, CTF writeups, technical concepts in blockchain technology, etc.; Any experience in and ability to do Technical Research: Doing research on topics related to cybersecurity and privacy, including topics such as web privacy, analyzing cryptographic protocols, developing security enhancing tools, bot analysis on social media platforms, etc. Reading and summarizing security research papers; Any experience in and ability to teach cybersecurity concepts and skills to students, giving demonstrations and presentations, assisting and guiding students with technical projects, etc. Any experience in and deep knowledge of participating in CTF competitions and having skills relating to various challenge categories found in CTF competitions such as binary exploitation, OSINT, Web exploitation, Cryptography, and misc.; Any experience in and ability to assist with Operational Security Support by drafting data audit sheet, performing phishing emails analysis, security news and security advice. Drafting and assisting with security policies and recommendations; and Any experience in and ability to review and analyze cryptographic protocols and writing summaries, technical analyses, reports and giving presentations about cryptographic protocols.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Lead teams of associates in solving complex cybersecurity and forensic problems for clients; Review associate work product for quality and accuracy; Manage client expectations and report findings; Prepare presentations on investigative findings; Provide training, instruction, and mentorship for associates; Forensic source code analysis and discovery, deriving information in support of system and network vulnerability mitigation as well as identifying the perpetrators of network intrusions; Technical patent analysis including prior art search and analysis of systems; Predictive and reactive system evaluation and analyses including legacy systems; Penetration testing and reverse engineering, including tools development to improve system capabilities or detect vulnerabilities; Technical writing, including reports, sign affidavits, or give depositions for legal proceedings as well as technical summaries to report findings; Cryptography analysis; and Operational security support.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: UP TO 20% TRAVEL, MOSTLY WITHIN THE UNITED STATES BUT SOME TRAVEL WORLDWIDE FOR ON-SITE WORK WITH CLIENTS SUCH AS SOURCE CODE REVIEWS WITH GEOGRAPHIC LIMITATIONS AND ON-SITE PENETRATION TESTING OR SECURITY OPERATIONS.
