Overview: We are looking for a candidate that our client wants to hire immediately for a Senior Civil Engineer. This role is& for a growing and nationally recognized engineering firm. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about leading civil design projects across multiple sectors including federal, healthcare, industrial, and commercial. This is a unique opportunity to join the Civil Team Leadership Group, where your technical expertise will directly impact both client deliverables and internal process improvements. You’ll support large-scale, multi-discipline site development projects while mentoring junior designers and guiding design system templates and QAQC procedures. Key Responsibilities: Serve as technical lead on civil site development projects of various sizes and scopes.
Develop site designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D and align with applicable local, regional, and federal codes.
Lead multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure, government, or commercial projects.
Coordinate with stakeholders, clients, and municipalities for reviews, permitting, and approvals.
Review site surveys, geotechnical reports, and perform grading, drainage, and utility designs.
Contribute to team-wide initiatives including process development and QA/QC checklists.
Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and project documentation.
Minimum Qualifications: Professional Engineering (PE) License — active and valid in multiple U.S. states.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
5–10 years of experience in civil design, site development, or infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and internal coordination.
Experience in preparing design reports, construction documents, and permit applications.
Willingness to travel occasionally for site documentation and client meetings.
Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Federal Facility Criteria (Whole Building Design Guide).
Experience working on projects for government, municipal, and life science clients.
Ability to lead project scoping, estimating, and proposal writing.
