Title: Network Security Engineer (SC residents only)

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Network Security Engineer for a hybrid opportunity (3 days remote, 2 days in office in Columbia, SC). Candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize secure cloud solutions for complex application and infrastructure environments.

Required Qualifications of the Network Security Engineer: Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies. 5+ years of experience in information security and engineering, with hands-on expertise in AWS or Azure infrastructure and cloud security operations Proven experience deploying and managing Palo Alto VM series firewalls in cloud environments Strong background in cloud security architecture, automation, and firewall management across AWS and Azure. AWS or Azure certification required. Skilled in documenting security tools, deployment configurations, and incident response activities. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Candidates must currently be a SC resident Nice to have: Prisma Cloud, knowledge of Forescout, Cisco Umbrella, F5 load balancing Responsibilities of the Network Security Engineer: Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructures and applications on AWS and Azure, with a focus on automation and zero-trust architecture. Collaborate with Security Operations to manage SIEM, SOAR, and XDR technologies and resolve environment configuration issues across development, testing, and production Ensure compliance with major security frameworks through effective monitoring, logging, and auditing. Leverage experience supporting government clients at the state and local levels. Available for travel to support customer engagements as needed
