Senior Consultant, Data Engineer

Lovelytics is seeking an ambitious data engineer who is comfortable working in a client-facing role to join our Data & AI team and work on strategic Databricks and other data engineering projects. This Level 2 will primarily focus on participating in client engagements related to data warehousing, ETL development, data integrations, and data modeling. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, dynamic, and inclusive environment and has a passion for data engineering. Location: This role is open to remote candidates in the US and Toronto, Canada. This role is not eligible for candidates requiring sponsorship to work in the US. Primary Responsibilities: Utilize consulting and technical skills to work effectively in a client-facing project environment. Execute client engagements as assigned, under the supervision of the engagement lead. Collaborate with team members to successfully deliver projects. Work effectively with internal teams and clients/partners. Support data integration efforts using cloud services. Deliver ETL/ELT pipelines for small-scale projects independently. Contribute to data warehousing initiatives. Apply skills with Databricks, Python, and big data streaming to pioneer client technologies and data solutions. Ideal Candidate's Skills and Experiences: B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent. 2-3 years of experience in data engineering and big data, with at least 1 year working directly with clients and stakeholders. Extensive knowledge of data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience deploying pipelines using Databricks and/or Spark. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and possibly Scala programming. Basic data modeling, database design skills, and knowledge of version control. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Databricks certification is a plus.
