Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Compliance Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the security, privacy, and regulatory compliance of our information assets. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard sensitive data and adhere to relevant legal and industry standards. As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance and support to various teams across the organization, fostering a culture of security and privacy awareness.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strategic planning for future compliance initiatives.
  • Manage and configure the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool to automate compliance activities and streamline evidence gathering.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and privacy impact assessments (PIAs) to identify and evaluate data privacy and security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and audit compliance with data privacy and security policies and procedures and track remediation efforts.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness programs on data privacy and security best practices to employees across the organization.
  • Respond to data subject access requests (DSARs) and manage data breach incidents in accordance with established procedures and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with Legal, IT, and other relevant departments to ensure consistent and effective implementation of data privacy and security controls.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest data privacy and security laws, regulations, and industry trends, and proactively recommend changes to policies and procedures as needed.
  • Participate in vendor risk assessments to evaluate the data privacy and security practices of third-party service providers.
  • Support internal and external audits related to data privacy and security compliance.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data inventory and data flow mapping.
  • Prepare reports and metrics on data privacy and security compliance status for management.
  • Assist in the investigations and remediation of security incidents with compliance implications.
  • Participate in daily operations tasks or adhoc requests as needed.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
