As a member of the Security Control Planes Team, you will be focused on protecting Salesforce assets from threats. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assessing, deploying, and maturing Salesforce’s suite of security tools to provide necessary control and monitoring at an enterprise level.
We are looking for an individual contributor that wants to leverage their existing security development skills, help automate existing operations and reduce the operational overhead to build supportive services.
Familiarity with endpoint security software, including experience in operating, troubleshooting, installing, and configuring these solutions. Proficiency in information security fundamentals, such as attack vectors, security best practices, and troubleshooting methodologies. Ability to leverage AI-driven solutions and tools in security operations to improve efficiency and insights. Experience in coordinating and deploying various security tools across all Salesforce endpoints. Knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), supporting systems deployment, configuration management, and application installations within AWS (EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, EC2, SQS), GCP, and/or Azure core services. Minimum of 3 years in Linux systems engineering/operations in a DevOps environment. Proficient coding and scripting skills (Go, Python, Shell scripting) for automation and system integration tasks. Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Helm, Ansible, Chef). Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi. Capability in setting up and tuning CI/CD pipelines. Proficient in endpoint and network troubleshooting. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on documentation.

Responsibilities
Develop and improve automation for platform-supporting services to reduce operational overhead and enhance system resilience. Build comprehensive monitoring metrics and assess system health to identify areas of improvement. Work on deploying, managing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems in public and private cloud environments, including multi-region and multi-cloud deployments. Design, install, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot endpoint security monitoring infrastructure. Conduct root-cause analysis across distributed systems in a global environment and troubleshoot network, hardware, and operating system issues. Collaborate on implementing AI-driven insights and tools to bolster security monitoring and response capabilities.
Desired Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations. Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience with containerization, microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud-native applications. Agile project delivery experience and understanding of SCRUM ceremonies/practices. Proficient in coding, ideally in Python. Up-to-date on industry trends in security, cloud infrastructure, and AI, with the ability to articulate these trends clearly.
