Who we are
Picogrid builds hardware and software infrastructure to connect and control the systems that power critical industries. Our platform unifies sensors, platforms, and operators to power mission planning, autonomous system control, and real-time decision-making.
We partner directly with operators, technology companies, and federal agencies to deliver rapidly deployable, mission-critical capabilities where they're needed most, often on short timelines and in challenging conditions. Our technology is trusted in active operations, not just test environments, and we move quickly to close real-world capability gaps for those on the front lines.
Joining Picogrid means working on high-impact problems at the intersection of autonomy, national security, and cutting-edge technology. You'll be part of a small, elite team that builds and ships systems used by the leading organizations around the world. We operate with urgency, ownership, and a deep respect for the mission.
About this role
Picogrid is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, build, and deploy mission-critical hardware systems that support U.S. defense operations. In this role, you will work at the intersection of embedded systems, mechanical integration, and high-reliability design-owning key electrical components that power connected autonomous systems in the field.
You will be responsible for the full electrical lifecycle: from rapid prototyping through validation, production, and field deployment. Your work will directly support military missions, with minimal layers between you and the end user. Expect hands-on engineering, fast iteration, and real-world impact.
This is not a bench-bound design role. You'll work closely with our software, mechanical, and deployment teams to ensure systems operate reliably in harsh environments-from deserts to flightlines to active field operations.
Mission & Scope
Picogrid builds integrated infrastructure for national defense. Our platform connects drones, sensors, and AI models into a unified command-and-control system used by field operators and national security agencies. Many of these systems require tightly integrated hardware to perform reliably in austere conditions where commercial electronics fail.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take ownership of core electrical subsystems used across Picogrid's portfolio-from embedded controllers and RF payloads to power systems and rugged enclosures. You'll be a key part of the team that builds systems end-to-end and brings them directly into operational use.
