Department Summary NA Job Duties and Responsibilities Senior Engineer – Cloud Security sought by DISH Network . in Englewood, CO Provide comprehensive systems administration functions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure to include support of AWS products. Identity & Access Management, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Cloud Formation, Auto Scaling, Cost and Usage Reports. Assist with the design and development of a multi-account, multi-region, highly available and highly automated AWS environment. Administer, operate, and maintain Amazon Web Server EC2 instances. Complete recurring system and security updates. Maintain a highly available production infrastructure. Provide application support for product customers. Create new AWS cloud compute instances, storage, and other cloud services. Analyze EC2 instance and S3 storage performance and resize. Evaluate, recommend, and implement enhancements to the current architectural and AWS services. Monitor infrastructure and pro-actively mitigate potential incidents before service degradation occurs. Mitigate business service disruptions with designed redundancy, backups, and highly available solutions. Troubleshoot outages, perform root cause analysis, and execute continual service improvements. Provide day-to-day operations and on-call escalation support for all AWS client, server, storage, and network services. Work with Development teams to install, test, and implement against business requirements. Create and maintain automation scripts and complete ongoing performance tuning and system optimization. Skills, Experience and Requirements Requires: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field plus 2 years of experience in job offered or Software Engineer or similar roles. Must have 2 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently): Information Security Security, AWS APIs Implementing /maintaining security for cloud-based systems /applications in AWS Writing SOPs, system requirements, and other technical documents Monitoring systems for alerts and incident management functions Salary Ranges Compensation: $137,917.00/Year Benefits Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, which may include a drug test.
