Senior Engineer, Infrastructure And Security The Senior Engineer, Infrastructure & Security is responsible for designing and executing projects that ensure IT security, infrastructure integrity, and networking effectiveness across the organization. This hands-on role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving and project management skills and a commitment to ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of IT services. The ideal candidate will coordinate staff and third party resources to drive continuous improvement in security and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence Ensure the integrity of IT infrastructure, security, end-user computing, cloud/hybrid computing, networking, and service desk functions. Ensure infrastructure architecture is functioning at a high level to support enterprise goals and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, & CCPA). Oversee IT disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity strategies. Ensure high-quality, high-availability computing and telephony environments, including system backups and restore functions. Security & Compliance Manage and optimize IT security, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and threat detection. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT security and infrastructure. Monitor performance and security of IT infrastructure, proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Analyze IT security data and leverage insights to inform security strategies. Infrastructure & Network Management Oversee the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructure, including Ubiquiti Wi-Fi networks and Sophos firewalls. Coordinate infrastructure expansion based on business growth and operational requirements. Lead vendor management for hardware, software, and service providers, ensuring cost-effective solutions. Team Development & Collaboration Provide hands-on leadership, mentorship, and professional development to team members. Foster collaboration with other business units to ensure IT solutions align with organizational needs. Communicate proactively with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on IT initiatives. Budget & Policy Management Manage capital and operating budgets in alignment with business needs. Define, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Qualifications & Experience: 10+ years of IT infrastructure management, engineering, and operations experience, with a track record of success in leading large-scale projects. 7+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional IT teams. Strong technical expertise in servers, networks, databases, storage, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP). Hands-on experience managing Ubiquiti Wi-Fi networks and Sophos firewalls. Experience with IT service management (ITSM) platforms, such as Atera or HubSpot/ServiceHub (preferred). Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks, such as PCI. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills to navigate complex IT challenges. Passion for learning and developing others, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. High integrity, discretion, and professionalism. Ability to travel up to 25%. Work Environment & Physical Demands: Primarily office-based, with occasional work at offsite locations (e.g., resorts, hotels, spas, gyms, and commercial properties). May require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and occasional lifting. Mental & Interpersonal Demands: Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions. Must demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy when interacting with colleagues and stakeholders, including in high-pressure situations. Strong customer service mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
